Our team utilizes transgenic mice and other model organisms to understand complex signaling programs that regulate the development, the maintenance and the disease progression of the kidney glomerulus. The molecular insights are used to identify novel targets to treat human glomerular diseases, which are the most common cause of end stage renal failure.
